If you routinely leave your windows up with a dog or child inside the cab (weather permitting of course) this may be a good reason to remove the inside passenger door handle. If you watch old movies, a lot of times you will see people in cars and trucks reach out and operate the outside door handle to open the door. Maybe removing the inside door handle was common place at one time?
