First thing to do is STOP DRIVING THE TRUCK!
Second thing is to get the kickdown linkage on and working!!!!!! The kickdown linkage controls line pressures that is very critical in the way a 727 or 904 operates. It also will cause the reverse/3rd gear to slip not being set!!!!! Hopefully you have not burned up your 727 driving like this. We just had a thread about this down in the message thread a week or so ago.
If your linkage you have now doesnt work due to your changes you maybe need to invest in an after market kickdown setup. Lokar and Bouchilion make a cable type setup to replace the old linkage.
Get the linkage working and see if this takes care of the problem otherwise its time for a rebuild but do not do this without fixing that kickdown linkage. Its not just a kickdown it has to do with a lot more!
