it can be conveted... if it is the same as the 77 (I believe it is) then what you need is new front body mounts, spring mounts, rear spring mounts, new engine x-member, springs, front axle, new steering system.. either x-over steering, or swap to the orig style (boomarang) wich included re-mounting the box, get a new steering shaft, steering arm, etc... also you have to replace the reanny x- member.. and I am not sure if the tranny will fit the 203 (still was full time in those days) or a 205.. then you need new driveshafts... personally, unless you are planning on custom building an entire rig that is a whole lot diferent from factory.. just get a 4wd.. unless you can get a 4wd one cheap.. and then use that as parts... aand I hope you have come welding skills.. you will need alittle.. plus lots of drilling the frame.. and better have an air hammer for those rivots.. takes a long time with a sawzall or cut off wheel... hope I helped some
