Any guess as to why Dodge didn't use a driveshaft in the center when they started building civilian Power Wagons? I'm thinking about putting a two-speed transfer case in my 3/4-ton WC. I thought I would have to use the rear axle from a civilian Power Wagon because the driveshaft comes down the passenger side. Your explanation has me wondering if I could put a yolk on my parking brake brum and use the WC rear axle. Isn't creative thinking great?
