Dan
You are pretty much correct but Cliff said he had a WDX which has a tranny mounted pto!!!,which mates to the counter gear in said tranny the counter gear turns at 1 to 1 with the engine crank, Sooo the book states that the PW's pto is gear to run at 61% of engine rpm. My M-37 ( tranny pto ) is geared to run at 41% of engine rpm. My F-800 has a 85% pto ( wish it was only 75%!). My old F-700 had a pto geared for 74%. A tranfer mounted will also have a pto ratio for which ever gear the tranny is in and it will also be constant with rpm. I hope that the tranny/ transfer was our missing point because I don't know how else to explain any more since I'm not that "articulated" ( Had to look that word up!)
