The 1968 W300 Crew Cab I am going to pick up around the first of March has the LA318-3, the data tag (net hp @ rpm) reads "special".

When it wears out, I will install a 6.354 Perkins using Dodge PC500 parts.

I like the mpg of the Perkins, which is double that of the 318.
