Sorry, but where does that 61% come from. It does not seem right to me. The pto runs off the transfer case, and so the pto speed is dependant on the gear selected in the transfer case. Assuming that there is at least some gear reduction in the pto this means that in first gear the engine speed: first gear ratio * pto speed. I don't see how this could be only 61% on engine speed. Are you thinking of a pto that would run off of the transmission. Key point: on a pto that runs off of the transfer case, the pto speed is dependant on the gear selected in the transmission. This means that there are only two speed at which the pto can run compared to the wheel speed, high and low range.

I think that all of this is correct, but correct me if I'm wrong.
