There's a 38.5X11-16 Bogger, bias ply; now a new 37X13-16 also. I agree Boggers must have awesome traction. If I were buying a set of M37 tires for stock rims and pure offroad use IF low pressure use in sand wasn't an issue I'd get the Boggers. The Michelins develop an enormous bulge at 15-18 psi whereas bias ply tires need 3-5 psi for a comparable bulge. At 3-5 psi bead retention is a big problem and also tires will heat up fast. Whereas at 15-20 psi beads stay on and tires stay cool as long as speeds are kept down below 15-20 mph.
But you can't beat the value of tremendous traction and strong casings that you get for $200 with 38.5" Boggers or $170 with 37.8" bias Swamper TSLs, if radial type highway stability and low pressure flotation isn't necessary. I'm not saying Swampers or Boggers are "bad" at low psi, it's just that any radial will develop much more flotation/bulge at much higher pressures than a similar size bias ply. And Michelin designs its' military tires to not disintegrate if run slowly at low pressures, with steel casing and thick sidewall rubber and an overhanging tread belt reinforcing the outer sidewall.
