I've never done doors on my truck, yet! I found that it helps to be patient, as you'll be fooling around with it a lot. I also heard of a guy using wooden shims to get the spacing even between the other panels before tightening the door. Sounded like a good idea. I also like looking at the original paint marks to see where things were lined up originally.
