Your rims are a bit too wide for either, 7-8" would be ideal for either. Are your rims very heavy duty, steel? Do you care about cost? If not, and you want the BEST mongo tires money will buy in 16", call the Michelin commercial tire dealer in your area and tell them they have some 325/85R16 XMLs in Reno. They are 38.7" tall, about 13" wide and call for 8-10" rims. They are nondirectional but otherwise somewhat similar to the XL design that most 11.00R16s are.
They ARE expensive. Suggested retail price $700 each. Maybe you can get them for substantially less if you're friends with the dealer.
