I was looking at trading in my 97 Ram for a new one. At the dealership after a little looking without test driving. We asked the salesman to do a little number crunching. Since I had a lease he asked for my keys to go see the odometer. I said sure and to make sure he locked it after he was done because my tools were in there along with the little ladies purse, money, cards, and our check books. Ok no problem, he said. He came back we haggeled a little more.We dedcided not to get that truck. He went to get another truck for us to look at (since it was cold out). We came out to look at it and noticed that my truck was gone. Where the #*&%@ is my truck. Oh we test drove it. WHAT THE.---- Oh my was the miss's pissed. The salesman didn't even have the keys. The sales manager had them up in his little booth. The salesman just assumed we knew that someone was going to test drive our truck. Well three hours of dickering no sale was made. I went there just to see what I could afford. Should I be mad at the dealership or the salesman? Should I go back? Any words of wisdom? All I have to say is to never let go of your keys at the dealership!
