I think the ultimate stump jumping engine would be a 57 -58 Chrysler 392 Hemi-head. They are virtually indestructible and offer 345 stock hp. I had one complete with transmission, kept for years with the dream of shoehorning into a 55 Dodge Power Wagon. Never had the time or money to buy the truck and sold the whole thing for $500, wound up in a 30's Ford street rod. Now own two Power Wagons 49 / 50, sure wish I had that engine and transmission back. Well, back to dreaming!
