Loose Third Member, something to worry about?

Today we got the donor 6x6 running. The engine has a bad rod knock, but we knew that before we bought the truck. But it does run, which was fun to verify.

The other day I noticed a fairly large puddle under the rear-rear third member. Today I crawled under to take a closer look, and found that all the third member mounting bolts were loose, many of them a full turn loose. Then I check the front-rear third member, and they were all loose too, though not as much.

My question is, would the differential gears, spider gears, or axle splines be damaged by the third member being slightly loose?
