Thanks Kevin I knew that from shop class years ago. I would clamp it just as if I were mig welding. The owners manual states to have the correct pressure and not to use the tongs as clamps. I'm sure once I weld a few practice pieces I'll get the idea. I will also have the bedsides sand blasted to get clean metal to spot weld. The only trick I see is using the spot weld drill on the angles. The factory welds seem to show up better on the bedsides. I never look forward to that part of the job. About as bad as sanding.
