Portable spot welder

I bought a portable Miller Spot welder at an auction. The last time I used one was in high school where we welded aluminum sheet. Anyone have tips on using one on sheet steel? I plan to attach bed angles with this one since it is a 220 volt unit rated for 1/8" combined. I do have to buy a set of tips for it first. This should cut the time on this job greatly I believe and give a factory look.
