Mixed report:

Earl Huff came by this afternoon and did a compression test and leakdown test on the WDX.

Compression showed: 125; 150; 150; 140;150; 150. So far so good, right?

Leakdown at 90psi showed: 20; 19; 48; 50; 60; 34. Ouch!

Cleaned and gapped the plugs, which were pretty well fouled with oil. Started it up and siphoned 1/3 of the can of Sea Foam into the manifold. Ran it for 5 minutes and it stalled out, starving for fuel.

Checked the fuel pump I had recently put on from the WC 60. Not pumping fuel. Removed the pump and found the arm has an inch of free play before actuating the diaphragm. Shucks! Worked fine on the WC.

Replaced the pump with a unit I recently rebuilt. Rebuilt pump works fine.

Problem now is gas is dumping out where the accelerator pump goes through the carb all over the manifold!

Will install a spare carb tomorrow and see where that gets us. Next steps are to add the "No Smoke", finish the front brakes and axles, and drive it some to see if it has enough power to pull the hills on our trip.
