Just remember that steam hp is a single cycle engine. a 20hp steam traction engine will pull a baker fan three or four times the size of what a 50or60 hp diesal tractor will, and do it so that there is NO question as to the boss is. (the PTO on most big tractors is about a foot in dia., the pully on most steam traction engines is three feet in dia.) Dave.
