You never know what the tow truck driver did to move the truck. He was there to tow the truck because it was broke and he needed to move it around. ?? Sounds like you need to pull the tranny and have a look see. Pull the top cover and take a good look inside. If you can do the repair to the trans yourself great. If not possible to locate a good use unit. May save some money. Good Luck. Bill.
