I work SAR up here in Canada . Have a Nam vet on my team . He has baggage and has worked for years to set most of it aside . He remembers all the guys who did not come home and keeps track of many of those that he worked with .
many of our searches are late at night and we search in small teams of 2 or 3 . Lots of interesting stuff gets dragged out and talked about at 3 in the morning . I know I am privileged because such things do not get discussed with other team members . It is a trust issue , some never get there and some let in a select few . You were walking that line today , you may see him again , look him in the eye and nod . It is then his move .
