My first pick up was a 78 W200 Club Cab with a 360 and automatic. That truck pulled hard all day long to whatever I was tied onto. I loved full time 4 wheel especially on roads that went from slippery to dry in the same stretch. It also had limited slip with 4:10 gears. I put 140,000 miles on that truck. The one thing I didn't like after some time on the road was the aluminum trim held on with weld on studs and plastic clips. The trim held in dirt which lead to rust around the studs causing the paint to blister. I removed the trim and studs when I repainted it. Gas mileage wasn't great but it wasn't off by much over a part time. It could have been the headers, factory 4 barrel and the Thermoquad I put under the hood too. You could watch the gas gauge move when you punched on those huge secondaries. Ah but it was FUN. There are still some good old trucks out there waiting to go to work again. Friends don't let friends by Fords. LOL
