My opinion is the Hummer tires will not prove successful on ice, if that is your main winter road challenge. Like Will says, narrower is better, but a bit harder to find, especially in a radial. Paul's STA suggestion is probably the best, but not a radial. If radial isn't important, go with them and have them siped. But definitely find a truck tire shop, even if you have to drive a ways.
