This morning before work, I wanted to see if Blueberry would start or not. It started up, but ran really rough at lower revs, and would smooth out at higher revs. I shut it down and went to work. After waork, I pulled the carb, and took it all apart and blew a ton of carb cleaner through every jet and hole I could find The insides didnt look cruddy, but as we all know, it just takes a speck.
I put it back on, and it started right up and ran smoothly at low revs, COOL! My son Gordon is home visiting ths week, so I asked him if he wanted to go for a ride. We took off, and drove about 5 miles, ran fie, turned around and headed home, got about a mile from home and brrrrrrr, it started the same rough running as before. I kept it running all the way back, even kept it running enough to pull back into the shop.
I had another carb on the shelf, so back off it came and put the other one on. Took the same test ride as before, and she never missed a beat. Man was that nice.
Gordon and I are going to drive it to Bristol for pizza in a few minutes, about 10 miles away. Keep your collective fingers crossed, I need all the help I can get!
