Permissible warp is umm .006" on a 6 cyl.

Looking under a straight edge, it can lookl ike you could drive a truck through the gap, but it may be OK.

Cheapest straight edge is a piece of the precision ground drill rod from a steel supply house. You can test the rod by rolling it back and forth to see if the light in the gap changes. No change = straight rod, bent head. Now try the feeler gauge to see how much.

Run a tap down the bolt holes to make sure they are as clean as possible. Also a die over the bolts too. And Fel-Pro says to lube the bolts, or sealer. Plus lube the underside of the bolt heads.
