when making lifts of bell string & travelers (insulators) in the towers the operator would shut the engine off and make the last few inches of the lift with the starter much safer for the linemen in the tower as the starter could move the load the
hair measuremnts required
we had a burma jeep (GTB) with about 450 ft
of cable as some of the towers were 200ft
