Few carbs are designed to allow gas to drain out. Bowls are usually one piece seamless castings. But you can't stop evaporation.

If you are concerned, you might keep a bit of gas to dribble into the carb. Just remove the wing nut on the air filter, and dribble a teaspoon down the stud- most filter housing have a small dimple there, just right for priming. But too much will flood it.

As always, be careful with gas. And don't run with scissors either. Brush after every meal. Have fun, but protect yourself. [/Mom]
