Is it typical when it is very hot (upper 90's) for the fuel bowl to dry out and how long should it take to refill? My M37 used to go dry and take quite a bit of cranking before it would start, but I only remember it drying out after several weeks then I installed a 4bt. I currently have a 74 scout that seems to dry out the fuel bowl within a day or two and takes about 30 seconds of cranking before it will start. Is this normal for a carb with a mechanical pump? I used to daily drive an 85 slant six half ton and don't remember ever having a problem with this but of course I was driving it most days. Thanks.
