I assume you have a pump that's screwed together, so you can take it apart and see if the diaphragm is indeed rotted. Dirt could have gotten stuck in the valves too. I have always gotten rebuild kits from "Then & Now Automotive". You can call and talk to the owner, who's the guy who makes up the kits, and make sure that you're getting the right one for your pump based on the numbers stamped into it, etc. They aren't cheap (around $30) but I've yet to have one fail. On the other hand, every old fuel pump I've had on every old rig I've ever gotten has failed within a year of running modern gas in it.
