Basically, one wheel need only turn 1/10 of a degree more than the other, but street tires can handle 10 degrees before probs ensue. And there are high speed advantages for reverse-ackerman.

So, if Detroit can ignore it on all those millions of cars and trucks with tie rods in front of the axle, so can we.

Darn I wish I had learned all this a couple months ago. I added a Saginaw revers rotation box to my current project, and would have gone to cross steering, an easy to find box outside the frame, and lots of freedom for column geometry. All enabled by swapping knuckle housing left/right. Just the kind of back yard re-engineering I like to do.
