A local has a 1962 WM300 listed for sale. Went to look at it today. It is in pretty decent shape overall. Has 40000 on the odometer. Equipped with Braden winch which is working, altho leaking oil. 251 starts and runs. Needs a seat, the floorboards in the cab need replaced, the front windshield is broken and the frame around it is pretty rusted, altho it still swings open a bit. The opener is frozen up, apparently. Good front fenders, very small amount of cancer blisters in the rear lower corners of the cab. Pretty good running boards. Some cracking beginning in the sheetmetal at the upper aft corners of the doors. Brakes supposedly work, but are leaking and need to be filled and bled. Front shocks are missing, but the mounts are there. All driveshafts are there, including PTO. Has pretty good chrome DODGE and POWER WAGON emblems on the hood. No bed , just a small temporary flatbed. Also comes with a very heavy steel flat bed and some sort of scissor lift/boom, which I couldn't quite figure out as it was sitting in the weeds. Needs tires, various seals, etc and some TLC. Guy wants $3700. Wife says I should buy it. No place to store it and work on it at the moment.

Good deal? It would be my first Power Wagon, altho my Dad was a Dodge dealer in Montana and I grew up working on cars and truck, and still do all my own wrenching on my land cruisers, diesel pickups, motorcycles, etc. Current interests are hunting & shooting, motorcycles, land cruisers and my family. Been watching this site since the late 90's and been looking for the right power wagon or a unimog ever since.
