If Chrisnj was steaming mad when he posted the initial note, he showed retraint and posted productive thoughts that some need to hear.
I haul trucks, cars, and parts every so often and I did not take offense to Chris's post. Nor did I think it was unfair to any hauler out there as you stated.
There have been several times when I posted on this forum instructing in general, future potential customers to give detailed description as to what, where, when, how big, address to address, weight, height, length, running/non-running, inclosed or open trailer required, ......so that I and other haulers can SERVE the customer better by giving an accurate price and ETA.
That does not mean I am being unfair to any customer? No, I am just trying to prevent problems and be more efficient.
It seems to me that Chrisnj was trying to do the same by NOT mentioning the haulers name and by offering guidelines to work with.
Even after I rant with productive dialouge, I still realize that this is one of the greatest places to visit on the internet and the people that I have met here online and in person have been a great addition to my life.
I hope I am able to return the gesture.
