One of the big selling features of this truck is that it has a (smooth running) factory 251 engine and NP-420 synchronized transmission. This makes it easier to drive and performs better than the 230 in the older units. I can tell you that the gearing change, combined with the large Michelin tires, makes a very important improvement in the actual usability and drivability of the truck. As mentioned above, this truck has gone through an extensive amount of mechanical updating over the last several years. That being said, this truck is no trailer queen either. As you can see by the pictures she has few small dents and the paint is presentable, not perfect. You may consider a paint job, but then you wouldn’t want one without character if you plan on using it at all. The under carriage is ROCK SOLID and some undercoating was sprayed on by the previous owner. There is some surface rust on the inner frame rails. All of the cross members are solid. The cab is also very solid. There is some rust through on the (inner) bottom of the doors (easy fix). The flat bed is built well, and in nice shape. As with all PW’s, it does leak some oil, but it is as dry a power wagon as I have seen. The only leak of any significance is the selector shaft seal in the PTO (I put the PTO in gear when I shut the truck off and the leak is almost non-existent). The cab could benefit from a new headliner kit ($250). There are custom made floors that need to be installed (screwed down). Window seals need to be installed (included with the truck). The old gearing, and original wheels are also included in the sale. I use this truck weekly for trips to the dump or to run to the hardware store, etc. It has been stored inside, and not used during the winter months during my ownership.

I have tried to represent this truck as accurately as possible. The truck is located in York Harbor, Maine (about 10 minutes from Portsmouth, NH. & one hour from Boston). I welcome anyone to inspect and drive the truck prior to purchase.

I can be reached directly at: 207-475-8973 or via email at: Leonhard.robert@gene.com.

Price: $8,900 obo.
