Dad's CJ2A had about a 1/4" of slop in the crankshaft thrust when we got it. Maybe that's a common problem if they are driven by someone who is on and off the clutch all the time?

It runs like a sewing maching now. It actually has a Kaiser Supersonic 4-banger-one of the best running gas motors I've driven, with lots of low-end torque for its modest size.
