I went to the parts store today hoping to find a small NC switch to try something like the guy at PWA was trying. No way to find one, they don't list NO vs NC in the books. And everything in stock was NO.
But the old parts guy behind the counter pulled the Torqueflite switch off the shelf from memory. I was thinking I would need to make an adapter for it, 3/4" on the end to go into the tranny, 7/8 on the switch end to be drilled and tapped to accept the switch. Plus, a cut off bolt or nail as a plunger.
Much to my surprise, no adapter needed.
Tell GM over at PWA that if he wants to publish this, he has to send me some back issues as well as a subscription and membership to his forum. I've never seen his mag, and would like to become familiar before I 'author'. Last story he wanted, he balked at the back issues. Tightwad, so far as I can tell.
