My '50 arrived yesterday afternoon. A gentleman by the name of Steve Sowers hauled it all of the way from Milton Freewater, Oregon to French Lick, Indiana for $1500 (plus a bonus $$$ gift). He's an EXTREMELY nice guy, and kept me posted the entire 2100 mile trip. I'd recommend him in a split-second to anyone wanting something hauled. He traverses the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, so anything, anywhere is game.

I've driven it up and down the road three times so far (about a mile each time), and here's my first impression; it takes an ubelieveable amount of effort to get the wheels to turn at a stop- it's going to build some muscles on me, for sure. It runs very smooth, shifts great, and stops a lot better than I thought it would. The heater works, and so does everything else. It's missing a couple of small things, which I have on my '54, so swapping them over is a cinch. It has an MU-5 winch, which looks like it could tear down the local high school with one pull.

The only things I wish this truck had was another 200 horsepower, power steering and power disc brakes. Other than that, it's perfect... and yet it's perfect, just the way it is. I was hooked on 'em before, but I'm hooked for life now!!
