Hi Dave,
I dont know the percentage of Dodge trucks that came with the Cummins, but not everyone buys their Dodge truck for the Cummins. I specifically bought my 09 for the Hemi. I think its an awesome engine, and I work mine the way it was meant to be worked. There may be a small sucking sound, but I think it wont be a loud as you think.
