You have any orphan transmission, the rebuilds are going for $2800 down here if you have a roasted core. Many have been following the 6 speed Fuller medium conversion on the Sanco site, he is about to have a married adapter for the dodge 4x4 married 241 t/c. Right now many are installing the fuller fxo6405 by using a divorced jackshaft and switching to a Sae#2 flywheel and bell and misc from a med truck either a FL-60 or ford F700. Standard Transmission in fort Worth and Bloothumthals in Oklahoma are the 2 rebuilders most on Dodge Turbo diesel site have been using, i just called and seems like $2500 plus a core, other was about the same, i have a nv4500 about to roast as well and am facing the same thing, wish that guy with the Clark 280vo and adapter was still around, you could get that 5 speed od for $2000 ready to install married with his adapter, he was from lumberton Miss and used to be in the parts source here, Performance Transmssions or something similar, google Sanco 6 speed Fuller converion and check that out, lots have given up on the orphan nv4500 and going to the fuller due to no usa parts and a bad transmission in the first place, around $3500 for rebuild 6 spped fuller and bigger clutch and misc and way better tranny. Crazy aint it??? Down here there is one guy left with some american made parts and that updated 5th gear nut and fully splined main shaft and small parts etc, he wants $2800 to rebuild my nv4500 and its together...Dont try to get a six speed nv5600 either, no cores o rebuild and they are burning up just like the nv4500 does, those trans run to hot in od and have no oil pump to keep oil on the od gear and it burns up when hauling seems like, i got 120k on a 6.7 truck with a nv5600 and its getting hard to shift...yikes Good luck
