Memphis equipment had/has them, as this item is the same as what is on the M37, and they have tons of M parts. Midwest Mil might also have them.
If you wanted the easy approach rather than repairing your own (like I did), buy a good used backing plate with the brake adjuster mech still already. Or, Memphis might have NOS ones.
In any regard, either repairing yours or swapping parts, you have to remove the backing plate, which entails on the rear axle removing the rivets holding it on. Do a search on Phil's archives here for lots of tips on the best way to do that.
