joel, the 3-53 will fit, the front crossmember had to be cut and boxed as well as cutting and boxing the cab. the 353 has 105 hp. the springs are at their max load in my opinion. too much time for me, the next diesel will be a 4bt. 125 horspower and you dont have to modify the crossmember or cab. i am sure you could make the 453 fit. just a matter of time and money. i am pretty sure the extra upfront money spent on a 4bt will more than offset the time and money for the 453.
