For any of you guys looking to buy a Power Wagon and have been saving your money I have some advice. Get the best truck you can find that has good sheet metal, a box, fenders, running boards, tail gate, winch and bumper. If the price approaches 10K that is still ok. I'm here to tell you I am just about at that 10K point and I still have rear running boards and a WM300 PTO to go and it is not painted yet.

If you get a bargain truck and intend to restore it to a nice looking good running vehicle you will also end up putting about 10K into it but it will take you years and years to find all the parts if you ever do. Even PW's that have rusted down into the mud are being resurected. I actually know of one friend that travels around in a helicopter and looks for them on farms as he travels.

The problem comes up that during this resto time you do not have the pleasure of driving and playing with your new toy. It is easy to loose interest and drive if it is not running and there seems to be no hope in sight for that specific part you need.

Sorry to get carried away but it seems when I do find something it is usually the last one they have, or such and such is not made any more. Thank God for the friends we make on the Power Wagon Forum. You guys are a bunch of gentlemen, er well most of you..Alabama Al
