This is the OD 540 pattern.
The non OD pattern (5th = direct)
1 2 4 R
3 5
So yours is probably overdrive.
Another way to figure it out it if you pull the top off in a 5th direct version all the gears along the mainshaft will get progressively larger as you go from front to back. The overdrive version will have the first gear which is the input gear be larger than the next gear which is the 5th mainshaft gear. The 3rd, 2nd and 1st get much bigger.
