my 72 ford truck book shows an auxiliary transmission. Looks like a power wagon 4 speed with reverse left out,extended shift rails to external shifter.Looks like if you made a new nose, leave out 1st +second + reverse,leave off most of the stock shifter, mount it backwards, hook 3rd/4th shift rail to a simple shifter you'd have a .8 (or whatwever 3rd is)overdrive.Or leave the tranny a 4 spd,have 16 speeds,when primary is in 2nd you'd have aux in 1st=under drive,2nd=direct(like 4th,normaly)3rd would over drive like ....I THINK I JUST GOT A HEAD ACHE.
