Don't unbolt the bell housing. You won't have any way to support the block as you remove head so on. Also the flywheel will be in the way and you will have to take it out to remove the housing. There are two bolts that hold the bellhousing to the frame. The nuts are secured to the frame. You take the bolts out from the top. The steering box may not create a problem if you can unweight the block. Good luck
