588 Fuel pumps

Just a warning to anyone needing a 588 fuel pump for the flathead 6. I have now gone through 5 NAPA M-847 pumps that are defective. M-847 is supposed to be the same as the 588 except without the sediment bowl. You can put your old bowl on it. 588 pumps are no longer available. All the pumps so far have pinholes in the castings and leak. They have come from several warehouses in the east so probably a lot more defective ones exist out there.
