I have a 1962 WM300 and I think it is OK. But I also have a 1987 Ford (I know this is not a ford site, but I need to know this) F-250 with a 6.9 liter diesel. It starts quick even on the coldest days without being plugged up, but it always seems to run low, I mean at the bottom or less of the low end of the guage, oil pressure. I am not a mechanic, so does my diesel engine work the same way, with the oil going up the rod to the piston? could that be the reason for my low oil pressure? What should I look for to indicate a bad rod bearing? Thanks in advance, I'm very concerned now.
