735 is probably ppm unburned HC(hydrocarbons). However, you can get high unburned HC from rich or lean condition, so other info is normally required to fix a high unburned HC condition. Assuming it's too rich now and wasn't in the past with the same jets, rejetting is not the answer. Neither is it likely the heads. A simple carb and/or ignition tune up probably would fix it. For too lean condition, clean the carb and check for vacuum leak(s). A vacuum leak will generally cause the idle mixture to go so lean that the unburned HC emissions go through the roof(like 735). Also, with an older engine, make sure you have clean oil, it really makes a difference. Of course, ensure choke is operating correctly, etc. Good luck, sorry I can't spend more time, I've got major problems with my personal web server after the cable modem install yesterday.
