Does anyone out there know if the civilian cab 1 ton utiline beds ever had 4 stake pockets? If so, when were they changed to 3 pockets? One is going up for auction that the whole rear frame section has been cut into a utility trlr. It is a dual wheel with the fender extensions, tapered flare boards and 3 pocket bed. Strange thing is, it has 6 lug 16" wheels. I didn't know they ever used that size. The bed is a good restoreable one, very minimal rust (some surface, one small hole thru)dings and small dents here and there, wood in floor is great,kept in barn most of the time.
The guy wants to date it a little better for the auction ad. I told him late 40's to early '56. Thanks, Roy
