Yes, The valve goes on the outlet near the rear of the block. Its a universal fitting you can get at any auto store. Just pull your old fitting out and take it in to match the threads, ID, OD, etc. Also, It may make a difference which inlet/outlet port on the heater is fed by this hose. It seems the hose from the block should feed warm water to the heater through the top tube. The water is then returned from the bottom tube to the water pump. However, I've seen trucks with the tubes routed the other way around. It may not matter in a pressurized system. Someone esle here should know. Good luck.
