Got a great email tonight with A#1 concept for solving the over-the-cab guy wire problem. The suggestion was installing a headache rack (or some resemblance, like the tower on a single boom tow truck) that comes up even with the cab roof, is multipoint attached through the bed to the frame, and has guy wire or SOLID POLE attaching to anchors on the top at each side. What would you consider that, an inverse double A-Frame? This should address the strenght and protect the cab from any major accidents, maybe even getting the extra height I am looking for and the extra weight you are looking for. You're dead-on about the threading issue and I'm still struggling with that. I plan on moving forward with the sleeve concept.. I believe it will work well but I still WELCOME any additional input or new ideas! Thanks!
