My plan is to have this apparratus portable to attach to either my Power Wagon or my Suburban, so versatility is a big factor. I'm looking at 2 - 8' sections to start, that would fasten to the front bumper, possibly quick connect with a really big clevis pins to a bolted on adaptor plate. Perhaps the frame extensions may require beefing up a little on the PW. The Burb is reinforced with 1/2" plate. The top of the 8'A would have rings for the pulley and guy wire/cables to hook to. A support frame (H) would provide support for the single 8' sections config... In the 16' config the guy wire cables (7/16 or 1/2") will go across the cab and attach to supports at the rear of the bed (for the Power Wagon only) to increase the lift height. I am looking into reinforcing the threaded collar connections with heavier inserts at the joints. In my case I have a 300 gallon water tank mounted aft of the cab on my PW and believe this, when filled, will provide enough balance for lifting heavier objects to keep the PW stable. I also have 4 wheel hydraulic lock on the PW to keep the beast from creeping if any slope is involved. Everything looks good on paper so far. I'm waiting on locating any drawings, specs, manuals to validate the design. If you got em.. post em... please! In no hurry to make the mistakes referenced in the comments & I appreciate the feedback!!! Oh ya, I'm not a lineman. Thanks!
