Tim,

I would recommend at least a 7 1/2 Hp 2 stage compressor.

For sandblasting I bought a pressure blaster from Homier Distributors for $99.00 (they have a website). It works great. There is a picture of it on my homepage. One tip I learned from sandblasting is to use an extra large hose between the compressor and sandblaster. Also remove all quick disconnects and thread the hose directly into the blaster. This gets a lot more air to the blaster.

For welding I recommend the 110 V Hobart 130XL mig. I bought mine last year from Northern Hydraulics for $480.00. You can use flux core wire with it but I recommend renting a gas bottle and running 0.023 wire.

Ken
